The East Main Antiques (the former OT Johnson Department Store) building was destroyed by fire on January 23, 2006 along with an adjoining building used as a warehouse for the antique store.
The initial call came in at approximately 1:30 a.m. Fire crews from the surrounding areas of Abingdon, Knoxville (including Gilson and Appleton) and Monmouth assisted the Galesburg firefighters.
